Birthday Surprise

FCSN (Friends of Children with Special Needs) provides a supportive and welcoming environment for adults with special needs to integrate into their community, build connections, and make a meaningful impact. For many clients like Troy, whose parents have passed away or have age-related issues, FCSN has become like a second home. The staff and volunteers genuinely care for Troy and his friends, providing a safe and empowering space for them to thrive.

On Troy's birthday, Executive Director Sylvia Yeh decided to surprise him with the perfect gift: a personalized towel set featuring his favorite thing. As a passionate fan of the Air Force and aircraft, nothing delighted Troy more than being called "Captain." Sylvia worked with Sherry Meng and her team at Turtleworks to embroider an image of a fighter plane and the words "Captain Troy" onto the towel set, creating a unique and personalized gift for Troy on his special day.

Troy was ecstatic when he received the gift, which showed how a simple act of kindness can go a long way. He proudly showed off his new towel set to everyone at FCSN, declaring himself "Captain Troy" and basking in the love and support of his community.
